Приближаются Рождественские и Новогодние праздники, учителя разрабатывают занимательные занятия для учащихся. Цель данной разработки помочь учителю в подготовке занимательных игр-викторин для учащихся разных возрастных групп.
Игра- викторина: «Рождество и Новый год в Великобритании и Америке»

Процедура игры:
Группа детей делится на две команды. На доске таблица с пятью категориями. В каждой категории десять вопросов.

Команды тянут жребий. Первая команда выбирает категорию. Учитель зачитывает команде 10 вопросов, за каждый вопрос команда получает балл, который фиксируется в таблице. Если команда затрудняется с ответом, команда соперников может ответить и получить балл. Пятая категория предназначена для поочерёдного ответа командами (для получения дополнительных баллов). Между сетами проводится подвижная игра. В конце игры подсчитываются баллы.

1. «Snowball shooting»
Для игры потребуется две ёмкости – чаши небольших по размеру. Шесть снежков из синтепона. Игрок держит в руках чашу со снежками. Вторая чаша ставится на пол, на заранее обговоренное расстояние от играющего. Задача игрока попасть снежком в чашу и что бы снежок остался в чаше.
2. «Snowman’s treat»
Для игры потребуется две ёмкости – чаши небольших по размеру. Шесть снежков из синтепона. Первый игрок садится на стул. Он держит в одной руке чашу со снежками, в другой руке ложку. Второй игрок стоит за спиной сидящего игрока и держит вторую чашу над его головой. Первому игроку завязывают глаза, его задача зачерпнуть ложкой снежок и положить в чашку над головой.
3. «Pass the parcel»
Выходят шесть играющих, ставится пять стульев, на один стул кладется сверток со множеством слоёв, между слоями подарки. Играющие бегают под музыку вокруг стульев, когда музыка прекращается, играющие должны занять места. Игрок без стула выбывает. Игрок, занявший стул с посылкой, снимает один слой, забирает подарок, убирает свой стул и кладет посылку на любой из оставшихся стульев. Игра продолжается.

Оборудование : разноцветные шары для елки (из цв. бумаги), 2 плаката с елками, карточки с вопросами, два комплекта карточек с разрезанной фразой «Merry Christmas», 2 листа А4, фломастеры, цв. карандаши (для письма), 2 плаката со снеговиками и 2 красных треугольника (нос снеговика), диск с песней «We wish you a Merry Christmas», музыкальный центр.
Ход урока
I. Орг. момент.
Приветствие.
II. Постановка целей и задач урока.
(На доске 2 плаката с елками: 1 для каждой команды. За правильный ответ или выполненное задание команда получает шарик для украшения своей елки. На чьей елке будет больше шаров – та команда и победит.)
III. Подготовка.
Поделить класс на 2 команды.
Вопросы про Рождество. (команды по очереди вытягивают карточку с вопросом)

Викторина “Веселое Рождество”
I . Вступительное слово.
Учитель рассказывает учащимся об истории Рождества, Рождественской елке, омеле как символ Рождества, Санта Клаусе, Рождественских подарках, открытках, песнях, Рождественской еде, Кануне Рождества и самом Рождестве.
II . Задания викторины.
1 задание «Елка»
Каждая команда должна как можно быстрее соединить буквы английского языка так, чтобы получилась елка.
2 задание «Кроссворд»
Учащимся предлагается выполнить кроссворд на рождественскую тему.
3 задание «Письмо Санте»
Учащимся необходимо заполнить письмо Санта Клаусу.
4 задание «Стихи»
На Рождество люди поздравляют друг друга. Учащиеся рассказывают стихотворения-поздравления на Рождество.
5 задание «Что происходит на Рождество?»
За короткое время учащиеся должны составить предложения и правильно выложить карточки с правильным порядком событий на Рождество.
